Broomfield Park war memorial

Stone memorial plaques to remember those who died in the war have been erected in place of brass ones that were stolen for scrap metal.

Stoneguard supplied the new polished black granite versions of the brass plaques in Broomfield Park, Palmers Green and erected the stone memorials ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

The new plaques were paid for by Enfield Council.

Mr Burrowes welcomed the installation of the plaques in time for Remembrance Sunday, but said:
"One of my reflections on this event is that unfortunately the perpetrator is still at large. It's important that we restore memorials, such as the one at Broomfield if they've been desecrated, but it's also important we remain vigilant about the ones which have fallen into disrepair."
